Women’s Health

Many women may benefit from physical therapy services during or after pregnancy.  The female body changes significantly during pregnancy.  Not all womens_healthbodies are prepared for these new demands.  Secondary aches and pains can be caused by changes in posture, hormone levels, weight gain and distribution.  Physical therapy can benefit patients by reducing pain and improving function through treatment, exercise and patient education.  Decreased muscle tone and strength, new demands on body for lifting, decreased conditioning and scarring can add to problems post-partem.
